Govt committed to resolving Madhes problems: Minister Karki



SUNSARI: Minister for Communications and Information Technology, Gyanendra Bahadur Karki, has said the present government was committed to resolving the problems facing the Madhes community.

Speaking at a program at Laukahi of Koshi Rural Municipality-1 of Sunsari on Saturday, Minister Karki said unless the Madhes community becomes prosperous, ambition of country prosperity will be unfulfilled.

“I’m for resolving the problems faced by Madhesi people, and for the prosperity of Madhesh,” he said, adding that Nepali Congress is the party that pays heed to rights of all castes, lingual and religious communities.

He further claimed that NC was moving ahead by incorporating all sides and sectors.

NC has been prioritizing Madhes since 2007BS. Government would pay heed to citizenship problems faced by Madhesi youths, he added.
