PM Deuba aggrieved over demise of former Japanese PM Abe; national mourning on Saturday

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has expressed his sorrow over the demise of former Prime Minister of Japan, Shinzo Abe.

He took to Twitter and offered his sorrow over the demise of Abe.

“My heartfelt condolence! He (Abe) was not only a popular leader in the world, but also a good friend of Nepal.”

He also offered his condolences to the citizens of Japan and the bereaved family.

Abe died after being shot on Friday morning while addressing an election campaign.

Meanwhile, the government also expressed deep grief over the demise of Abe.

The government paid tribute to the late Abe and also extended condolences to the Japanese government, people, and Abe’s family members.

Similarly, issuing a press statement on Friday, the Home Ministry said there would be the national mourning and not any formal program at Abe’s demise.
