Grand design against ruling alliance fails, says Prachanda



KATHMANDU: CPN-Maoist Center Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has said that the grand design against the ruling coalition had failed.

Responding to questions raised by the central members at an ongoing meeting of the Central Committee held at Pragya Bhawan in Kamaladi on Thursday, Prachanda said as Janardan Sharma resigned as Finance Minister and showed his integrity, the same had foiled the conspiracy against the ruling alliance.

Sharma’s resignation from the finance ministry has also spread the message of morality and sacrifice, he added.

“The finance minister said he did nothing wrong. That is why his resignation has sent a message of political character, morality and sacrifice,” Prachanda said, adding, “As the issue was discussed in the parliament, Sharma showed morality by furnishing his explanation and resigning.”

He said that if Sharma had not resigned, then the issue would have jeopardized the alliance.

“The grand design to break the alliance has been thwarted by Sharma with his sacrifice. Activists and the people should make aware of the propaganda and confusion created by this chapter.”
