CM Pokharel expresses readiness to work together with private sector

POKHARA: Chief Minister of Gandaki Province, Krishna Chandra Nepali Pokharel, has said he was ready to work together with private sector to ensure prosperous Gandaki.

Time has come to create investment-friendly atmosphere, he added. Addressing the 26th establishment day of the Leknath Industry and Commerce Association, CM Pokhrel viewed creation of jobs with promotion of industry is imperative.

Government could create investment-friendly atmosphere rather than running industries, he said, adding that public-private cooperation would also foster atmosphere for investment.

Minister for Energy and Hydro Resources at the province, Hari Sharan Acharya, viewed country’s development could not be imaged without production.

The state has augmented investment for running the industries based on raw materials produced within the country, he informed.

Association Chairperson Chhatradhar Atreya said the industries based on agriculture should be prioritized.

Similarly, industrialist Anjan Shrestha suggested the government that it reduced the imports and prioritized domestic production.

Vice Chancellor of Pokhara University, Prof Dr Prem Narayan Aryal, said state could formulate such the policy that would create able and skilled human resources required for the country’s development.
