NEPSE rise by massive 57.61 points on first day of week



KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index has gained 57.61 percent on Sunday.

The index that opened at 2028.79 closed at 2,086.38 points at the end of the tading day today.

The NEPSE index has gained a total of 2.84% percent following the loss of 8.87 points last Friday.

The index made at intraday day high of 2,086.38 points and intraday low at 2,020.96 on the first trading day of the week.

A total of 6,227,692 shares of 231 companies changed hands via 45,120 transactions resutling in a turnover of Rs 2.480 billion on Sunday. This is almost one trillon higher than Friday’s turnover of Rs. 1.459 billion.

Ngadi Group Power Ltd had the highest turnover of Rs. 22.28 million as eight companies hit positive circuit and gained highest 10% each.

On the other side, 8.5% Bank of Kathmandu Debenture 2086 (BOKD86) lost the highest 9.31% today.

All sector indices closed green, and “Trading” gained the highest 9.3% while “Mutual Fund” gained the lowest 0.44%.
