Maoist Center holding Central Committee meeting today

KATHMANDU: Maoist Center is holding a meeting of the party’s central committee today.

The meeting will be held at Nepal Academy, Kamaladi, according to the party central office.

The meeting will review the local elections held on May 13.

In addition, discussions will be held on the selection of office bearers, standing committee, politburo and division of work and responsibility.

Even though the Maoists held a general convention last year, only the party chairman has been elected, and no other office bearers were elected.

Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda was unanimously elected as the chairman.

The General Convention had given the party’s Central Committee the right to nominate the office-bearers.
