Bamdev Gautam holds talks with UML Chair Oli in Balkot

KATHMANDU: Bamdev Gautam, who is the Chairman of Ekata Rastriya Abhiyan Party, has reached the residence of CPN-UML Chairman KP Oli in Balkot.

Gautam, who is campaigning for leftist unity, held talks with UML Chairman Oli at the latter’s residence in Balkot.

It has been learned that UML Chairman Oli alleged Gautam that he, too, had a role along with Maoist Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal “Prachanda” and Unified Socialist Chairman Madhav Kumar Nepal to split the Nepal Communist Party.

“During that time, everyone, including you, was more concerned about getting posts rather than further strengthening the party and making the country strong,” a source quoted Oli as telling Gautam.

“Now look at the consequences,” Oli told Gautam.

Gautam, meanwhile, said that he was in the process of uniting the then Nepal Communist Party.
