SAPTARI: The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) on Thursday caught red-handed a government employee taking a bribe of Rs 100,000.

Bikash Shrestha, engineer for Rupani rural municipality, Saptari was caught red-handed by the CIAA Saptari team led by Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Shyam Sarukh Magar.

Shrestha got Rs 100,000 in bribe from a client for assisting a bill payment regarding the construction of a suspension bridge, according to CIAA, Saptari.
