Unified Socialist holding politburo meeting



KATHMANDU: The Unified Socialist is holding its politburo meeting on Friday.

The meeting will be held at the party office at Tinkune at 11 am.

Jagannath Khatiwada, head of the party’s publicity department, said that the politburo would be set up on the eve of the central committee meeting.

A meeting of the Central Committee will be held on Saturday and a meeting of the Central Council will be convened on July 29 and 30.

The party is embroiled in a conflict on the issue of recalling the party’s ministers in the cabinet.

Party Chairman Madhav Kumar Nepal is under pressure from some of the party leaders to recall the ministers from the Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba-led cabinet.
