Home Minister Khand and Law Minister Bandi call on opposition leader Oli

KATHMANDU: Minister of Home Affair Bal Krishna Khand and Minister of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Govinda Bandi have called on the main opposition leader KP Sharma Oli on Friday.

The Ministers duo reached Balkot, CPN-UML Chair Oli’s residence, in Bhaktapur this evening at the behest of Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba.

They are to discuss moving forward the citizenship bill and other bills under consideration in the parliament.

Earlier, the Minister of Deuba-cabinet had also discussed advancing the citizenship bill with Maoist Center Chair Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ and other leaders.

The government has planned to move forward the citizenship bill in parliament as soon as deliberations on budget conclude.

Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has been saying that the citizenship bill will be tabled in the parliament immediately after the budget.
