Nepal sees 16 new coronavirus cases in past 24 hours



KATHMANDU: Nepal recorded a total of 16 new cases of coronavirus in the past 24 hours as of Thursday.

Out of the confirmed cases, 12 were detected through the RT-PCR method and four through the Antigen method.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, a total of 2,268 swab samples were tested in the past 24 hours. Of them, 1,038 samples were tested through RT-PCR and 1,049 through the Antigen method.

Currently, there are 95 active cases in the country as 14 infected patients recovered in the past 24 hours.

No person died due to coronavirus in the past 24 hours. The COVID-19 death toll in the country stands at 11,952 to date.
