Woman gang-raped in Bouddha, four rapists held



KATHMANDU:  A 24-year-old girl has been gang-raped at Bouddha in the capital city, Kathmandu.

The girl was gang-raped by four men at Lungta Guest House in Bouddha on Sunday night.

Chief of the Metropolitan Police Range, Kathmandu, SSP Sudip Giri said that four persons, including three involved in the incident and a hotel operator, have been arrested and that an investigation is underway by taking the arrested on a five-day remand from the District Court, Kathmandu.

Among the arrested are Ritesh Tamang, 24, of Kathmandu, Rinjen Sherpa, 22, of Melamchi municipality-2, Sindhupalchowk and Uttam Lama, 34, of Sarlahi.

Similarly, police have also arrested 34-year-old Jyampa Dhille Sherpa alias Angnima of Bhotekoshi, Sindhupalchok, the manager of Lunta Guest House.

Police immediately rescued the victim from the guesthouse and conducted a medical examination at the Prasuti Griha in Thapathali.
