KATHMANDU: A meeting of the House of Representatives is holding discussions on the issue of farmers being deprived of fertilizers.
Fifteen lawmakers including CPN-UML chief whip Bishal Bhattarai had floated an adjournment motion at the Federal Parliament Secretariat seeking discussions on the fertilizers.
Bhattarai had proposed to postpone the meeting to discuss in the House of Representatives (HoR) the issue of fertilizers saying that it is necessary for the farmers.
Speaker Agni Prasad Sapkota has put aside two hours to discuss the adjournment motion.
The lawmakers are currently holding discussions on the issue related to the fertilizers in the meeting of the HoR.
After the discussion on fertilizers, the concerned ministers will answer the questions raised by the parliamentarians on the budget allocated for their ministries.
