UML files adjournment motion at Parliament

KATHMANDU: The main opposition CPN-UML has filed a proposal at the Federal Parliament Secretariat seeking adjournment of the budget discussion underway in the parliament.

Fifteen lawmakers, including UML chief whip Bishal Bhattarai, lodged an adjournment motion saying that the ongoing budget debate in the parliament should be deferred.

UML has informed the Parliament Secretariat about the postponement saying that the farmers have not received the fertilizer on time and the government is not serious about it.

The proposal will be discussed in the parliament.

If the adjournment motion is approved, the motion will be discussed in the parliament and the program of answering the questions raised by the parliamentarians on the ministerial budget will be postponed, said an official of the Parliament Secretariat.
