Two killed in Surkhet jeep accident



SURKHET: Two persons died when a jeep met with an accident at Garkhakot in Junichande village municipality-5 of Surkhet district.

Nine passengers were injured in the accident, according to police.

The condition of five of the injured is critical while the condition of four others is normal, said Ram Bahadur Nepali, Spokesperson of Junichande Village Municipality and Ward Chairman of Ward No. 2.

The jeep (02001 Cha 0341) heading towards Junichande village municipality center from Surkhet met with an accident at Garkhakot-5.

There were 11 passengers in the jeep.

Spokesperson Nepali also said that the District Administration Office, Jajarkot has been requested to make arrangements for the helicopter as the condition of the injured is critical.

Meanwhile, Chief District Officer Ram Bahadur Shahi said that a rescue vehicle had been sent and a helicopter would reach the spot in half an hour.
