PM Deuba assures KMC Mayor Shah of govt’s all-out support

Says, "You did a miracle"



KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has assured the newly-elected Mayor of Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC), Balen Shah, that the government would extend all possible support to him to accomplish his commitments as a Mayor.

PM Deuba said this at a meeting between the two held at the Prime Minister’s official residence, Baluwatar today.

“In fact, you did a miracle. I appreciate your energy,” PM Deuba told Mayor Shah.

Stating that the Nepali Congress has a majority in the executive, PM Deuba said his party would support him in all development works.

“There are many ways to manage waste. There will be support from the central government, the ministry, and the road department,” PM Deuba said.

Meanwhile, Mayor Shah had urged Prime Minister Deuba to support him.
