NEPSE declines by 50 points Monday

KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index decreased by 50.33 points on Monday.

The day after the budget for the fiscal year 2022/23, the share market fell by 2.26 percent to 2173.44 points.

A total of 3456,529 shares of 227 companies have been traded through 26,949 transactions on this day.

The transaction amount on Monday was Rs 1.33 billion. This is around Rs 100 million more than on Friday.

The amount equal to 34.56 million more lots came into the business.

Investors, alarmed by the sharp fall in the market, have created selling pressure. As a result of selling pressure, the prices of 187 companies have dropped sharply Monday.

The share prices of five companies have risen even as the index has declined by more than 2 percent.

Investors in Balephi Hydropower, which was listed on the secondary market only a short time ago, earned the most today. The company’s shares have a positive circuit.

Recent trends indicate that investors are attracted to the shares of listed microfinance.

The share price of microfinance has risen 8.23 ​​percent today.
