Govt to increase pay of civil servants by 15 percent



KATHMANDU: The government has announced that it would increase the salary of government employees by 15 percent.

Presenting the budget for the upcoming fiscal year 2079/80 BS on Sunday, Finance Minister Janardan Sharma announced that employees’ salaries would be increased by 15 percent keeping in mind inflation and petroleum price hike, among other things.

Similarly, he informed that other allowances provided in the running fiscal year would be continued in the coming fiscal year.
