Balen continues to lead as 44,717 votes remain to be counted in KMC

KATHMANDU: Balen Shah, the independent candidate for the post of mayor in Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC), is continuing his lead.

According to the latest poll results, Shah received 48,922 votes. His nearest rival, Sirjana Singh of Nepali Congress (NC), polled 30,025 votes.

Similarly, CPN-UML mayoral candidate Keshav Sthapit has got 29,259 votes.

A total of 148,248 votes for Kathmandu Metropolis have been counted so far. Now 44,717 votes remain to be counted.

Similarly, CPN-UML candidate for the post of deputy mayor Sunita Dangol has maintained her lead. According to the latest poll results, she received 44,705 votes.

Similarly, Rameshwar Shrestha of the CPN (Unified Socialist) has received 15,282 votes for the post of deputy mayor.
