Balen continues to lead, gets 42,893 votes in KMC

KATHMANDU: Independent mayoral candidate of Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) Balen Shah has garnered more than 42,893 votes. He is leading Nepali Congress candidate Sirjana Singh by 18,039 votes.

Singh has got 24,854 votes as of Sunday afternoon.

Similarly, Keshav Sthapit of CPN-UML has got 23,968 votes.

The local elections were held on May 13.
