NC wins mayor in Mithila Bihari Municipality



KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress (NC) candidate Rajendra Prasad Yadav has been elected mayor of Mithila Bihari Municipality in Dhanusha district.

Yadav won securing 4,304 votes. His closest contender CPN (UML) Anil Kumar Yadav garnered 4,094 votes.

Similarly, CPN (Maoist Centre)’s Shovadevi Shah has been elected deputy mayor in the Municipality with 3,330 votes. Her nearest rival CPN (Unified Socialist)’s Anita Kumari conceded defeat with 2,797 votes.
