Balen retains the lead in mayoral race in Kathmandu

Balen: 34,130, Sthapit: 18,547, Sirjana: 18,429



KATHMANDU: Independent mayoral candidate of Kathmandu Metropolitan City Balen Shah has garnered more than 34,000 votes.

Out of 93,647 votes counted, Balen has got 34,130 votes. He has been widening the gap with his rivals.

His nearest rival Keshav Sthapit of CPN-UML got 18,547 votes. Balen has got 15,583 votes more than UML’s Keshav.

Similarly, Nepali Congress candidate Sirjana Singh has got 18, 429 votes.
