Chinese Ambassador pays courtesy call on Home Minister Khand



KATHMANDU: Chinese Ambassador to Nepal Hou Yanqi has paid a courtesy call on Home Minister Bal Krishna Khand on Wednesday.

During the meeting held at the Ministry of Home Affairs, Singha Durbar, the two discussed bilateral relations and exchange of cooperation between the two countries.

Home Minister thanked China for its support for peace, stability, development and prosperity.

During the meeting, Ambassador Yanqi informed that preparations have been made for a direct flight from Kathmandu to Kunming, China from May 30.

Ambassador met with Home Minister Khand at a time when US Under Secretary of State for Civilian Security, Democracy, and Human Rights Uzra Zeya is visiting Nepal on Friday.

Zeya, who is currently in New Delhi, has been dealing with Tibetan refugee issues in Nepal.

She arrived in India on Tuesday.
