NC wins three Kathmandu municipalities; leading in five



KATHMANDU: Ruling Nepali Congress (NC) has won in three out of 10 municipalities in Kathmandu district as of now.

Meanwhile, the party is leading in five municipalities.

Nepali Congress’ Mohan Basnet has won in Dakshinkali Municipality.

Likewise, NC candidates have won in Kirtipur and Tarkeshwar municipalities.

While Rajkumar Nakarmi in Kirtipur and Krishna Hari Maharjan in Tarkeshwar have been elected.

Out of the remaining seven municipalities in Kathmandu, Congress is taking the lead in five municipalities.

UML has won in Kageshwari and Tokha municipalities, and has taken lead in Budhanilkantha municipality.

In Kathmandu, Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) is taking the lead in Shankharapur Municipality.
