NC maintains lead in Dharan Sub-metropolis

NC: 5,111, Harka Sampang: 4,450, UML: 4,434



DHARAN: Nepali Congress (NC) has maintained the lead in the mayoral race of Dharan Sub Metropolitan City.

Hark Sampang, an independent candidate from Dharan, who is behind the UML candidate, has overtaken the UML again.

Independent mayoral candidate Sampang, who was in third place on Monday, has climbed to second place since Tuesday morning.

With 17,495 votes counted so far, the alliance’s mayoral candidate Kishor Rai is leading with 5,111 votes followed by Hark Sampang with 4,450 votes. UML’s Manju Bhandari is third with 4,434 votes.

CPN (Maoist Center) candidate Aindra Begha is leading with 5,760 votes while UML’s Padam Limbu is following Begha with 5,399 votes for the post of deputy mayor.
