NC, Maoist Center each win 11 local levels, UML victorious in 15

NC leads in 277 local units; Maoists in 109 and UML in 188



KATHMANDU: Vote count is underway across the country as results from some local bodies are trickling in.

According to the latest results, the coalition leader Nepali Congress (NC) has been victorious in 11 local bodies and is leading in 277 places.

So far, the Maoist Center has won 11 local units and is ahead in 109 local bodies.

Compared to the electoral alliance, the CPN-UML has won the most local levels so far. The UML is winner in 15 local bodies and is leading in 188 places, while the NC and the Maoist Center have won 11 local units each.

While the three major political parties are ahead in the local elections, independent candidate Balen Shah’s lead in Kathmandu Metropolitan City has shocked political parties.
