NC’s Gurung wins election in Naso rural municipality



KATHMANDU: Dhan Bahadur Gurung of the Nepali Congress (NC) has been elected to the post of chairperson of Naso Rural Municipality in Manang district.

He gathered 820 votes while his closest rival Man Bahadur Gurung of the CPN-UML got 676 votes.

Similarly, Bed Bahadur Gurung of the CPN-Maoist Center from the alliance was elected vice-chair of the rural municipality receiving 902 votes.

Gurung’s closest rival Arjun Gurung, an independent candidate, got 591 votes.

Out of 1,802 voters in the rural municipality, 1,496 votes or 83.01 per cent votes were cast.
