NC takes early lead in Butwal Sub-metropolis vote count

KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress (NC) has taken the early lead in the preliminary vote count underway at the Butwal Sub-metropolitan City.

When the 200 votes were counted in Ward No. 1, the alliance’s common candidate is seen ahead in the preliminary vote count results.

Khel Raj Pandey of the NC leads with 73 votes, followed by Mrigendra Sherchan of the RPP with 45 votes.

Baburam Bhattarai of the CPN-UML got 33 votes. Ward No. 1 has got 1,974 votes, according to the Election Office.
