UML’s Ghale elected Chame rural municipality chairman



MANANG: Lokendra Bahadur Ghale of CPN-UML has been elected as the chair of Chame rural municipality.

He was elected with by 320 votes. His nearest rival Chhiring Dhwarje Lama of the Nepali Congress got 277 votes.

A total of 610 votes were cast. Mingmar Dhoma Lama of the Nepali Congress has been elected as the Vice Chair of Chame.

Chief of the District Election Office, Pushparaj Sharma, shared that the counting of votes has been completed in two of the four municipalities in the district.

The counting of votes in Manang Ngisyang and Naso rural municipalities is underway, which will be completed by this evening.

The district recorded a 62.60 percent turnout among the total 6,496 voters.

Altogether 4,077 votes have been cast, said Chief Election Officer Punaram Khanal.
