NC candidate Lama elected as Narpabhumi rural municipality chair



KATHMANDU:  Konjo Tenzing Lama of Nepali Congress has been elected as the chairman of Narpabhumi rural municipality of Manang district.

He got 158 ​​votes. His rival independent candidate Krishna Lama got 111 votes. Out of 304 votes cast, 35 were invalid.

UML’s Funcho Lama has been elected unopposed as the vice-chairman.

The Nepali Congress had won the chairmanship of Narpabhumi village municipality in 1974 BS. Unopposed election was held here at that time.

Konjo Tenzing Lama, who became the Vice Chairman in the 1974 election, has now been elected as the Chairman of  the rural municipality on behalf of the Nepali Congress.
