Nepal sees seven new coronavirus cases in past 24 hours



KATHMANDU: Nepal recorded a total of seven new cases of coronavirus in the past 24 hours as of Friday.

All seven confirmed cases were detected through the RT-PCR method.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, a total of 1,437 swab samples were tested in the past 24 hours. Of them, 1,148 samples were tested through RT-PCR and 289 through the Antigen method.

No person died due to coronavirus in the past 24 hours. The COVID-19 death toll in the country stands at 11,952 to date.

Currently, there are 164 active cases in the country as 16 infected patients recovered in the past 24 hours.
