Ward chair candidate held for thrashing NC cadres



KATHMANDU: A ward chairman candidate of CPN-UML has been arrested on the charge of thrashing three cadres including Tehrathum Vice President of Nepal Tarun Dal by mobilizing youths.

Acting on a complaint, police personnel who were deployed to the incident site found ward chairman Man Bahadur Khadka hiding under the bed.

Khadka, the candidate of Chhatar rural municipality-2, UML cadre Krishna Bahadur Karki and Meduna Ranamagar were arrested in connection with this incident, informed District Police Office, Tehrathum Chhe Phinjo Bhote.

UML cadres had clashed with NC cadres in Chhathar rural municipality-2, Hamarjung on Tuesday.

Tehrathum Tarun Dal Vice President Bikash Shrestha, Manish Basnet, and Semihang Limbu sustained injuries in the clash.
