Nepal sees 17 new cases of coronavirus



KATHMANDU: The country on Thursday reported 17 new cases of coronavirus infection, according to the Ministry of Health and Population.

The new cases were confirmed from a total of 3,811 sample tests carried out in different laboratories across the country.

Likewise, 15 infected ones got recovered from the virus during the past 24 hours. The recovery rate in the country is 98.8 percent.

With this, the number of active cases is 217 in the country. There was no Covid-related casualty in the country in the last 24 hours and 30 districts had no active case of the coronavirus virus.

Currently, 216 persons are in home isolation while the next one is receiving treatment from an institutional isolation center.

According to the Ministry, altogether 92,088 persons received vaccines against coronavirus in the past 24 hours.
