Cine artists Bhuwan KC, Shweta Khadka join NC



KATHMANDU: Actors Bhuwan KC, Rabindra Khadka, and Actress Shweta Khadka have joined the Nepali Congress (NC).

NC President and Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba welcomed KC, Khadka, and Shweta amidst a program.

“I have joined the NC by receiving tika from the Prime Minister,” said KC, adding, “I entered the NC with a belief that this party would safeguard and work for the interest of the cine field.”

KC said the party has not yet assigned any responsibilities to him, right now.

Cine artist Rabindra said he floated a proposal with President Deuba to become a mayor of Panauti municipality.

“I expressed my intent to become the mayor of Panauti municipality with President Deuba,” said Khadka.

“Deuba pledged that he would try to get him some kinds of responsibilities in the provincial and federal elections,” Rabindra quoted him as saying.
