Ruling coalition meeting underway to discuss rebel candidacies



KATHMANDU: The meeting of the ruling coalition has started at the Prime Minister’s residence in Baluwatar Friday.

A five-party alliance has begun deliberations as to the fate of rebel candidates running against the coalition’s common candidate.

Secretary of the Rastriya Janamorcha Himlal Puri said the meeting would discuss about situation of the rebel candidatures against candidates of the allaince.

Today is the last day to withdraw candidacy.

There are rebel candidates across the country against coalition candidates.

Top leaders of the alliance have been appealing to rebel candidates to withdraw their candidacies.

The NC Friday warned that if rebel candidacies are not withdrawn, the candidates along with candidacy backers would face expulsion from the party.
