Ruling coalition makes public common election manifesto in Pokhara metropolis



KATHMANDU: The ruling five-party coalition in Pokhara Metropolitan City has made public its common election manifesto along with a one-year work plan.

The coalition released its manifesto along with a slogan ‘Foundation of Prosperous Pokhara: Strong Economy and Infrastructure’.

Determining seven starting points to make Pokhara prosperous, the coalition also incorporated grounds to implement the work plan in the manifesto.

The coalition pledged to take ownership of development of Pokhara metropolis residents, saying development is the right of all.

Meanwhile, disgruntled Nepali Congress leaders and cadres demonstrated at the program held to unveil common election manifesto.

The local cadres and leaders of the Nepali Congress, including of the Maoist Center, are dissatisfied with the seat sharing agreement struck by central leaders of the coalition.

The ruling coalition has allocated the seat of Pokhara mayor to the CPN-Unified Socialist.
