Test flight to be conducted at Gautam Buddha Airport on Thursday

LUMBINI: A wide-body aircraft of Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) will conduct a test flight at Gautam Buddha International Airport on Thursday.

On Thursday, a 330 Airbus of NAC will make a test flight, according to Gautam Buddha International Airport officials.

Airport administration officer Binod Singh Rawat said the test flight would take place at 3 pm on Thursday.

Earlier, even though the test flight was scheduled to be conducted on the first day of the Nepali New Year, it was postponed due to a lack of preparation.

Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Prem Bahadur Ale is also scheduled to attend the test flight.

According to the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN), Jazeera Air will fly to Bhairahawa a narrow-body aircraft with a capacity of 278 passengers from Kuwait on the day of Buddha Jayanti on May 16.
