Ruling coalition’s meeting resumes in Baluwatar

KATHMANDU: The meeting of the ruling coalition that ended without any conclusion on Monday morning has resumed in Baluwatar on Monday afternoon.

The meeting is attended by top leaders of the coalition and members of the Election Preparation and Monitoring Committee led by Ram Chandra Poudel.

The meeting will decide on the distribution of seats in 6 metros and 11 sub-metropolises across the country.

Earlier, CPN-Maoist Center Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda had said in a press conference in Parisdanda that his party was liberal in letting others contest in Bharatpur.

“We are for justice, we do not say that we need Bharatpur or Chitwan, any metropolis will work for us,” he said, adding, “We need metros. We do not stick to Bharatpur Metropolitan city, we are open for any metros in the country.”

Prachanda said that the seat allotment in municipalities and other other areas would start immediately after the coalition reaches to the conclusion on metros and sub-metros.
