Alliance present need of country: Leader Singh



KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress leader Prakash Man Singh has said ruling alliance and the electoral alliance are the present needs of the country.

At a program organized on the occasion of the New Year, 2079 in the capital on Monday, leader Singh reminded that the current ruling alliance was formed to protect constitution.

“Electoral alliance should be forged by maintaining high spirit of party cadres,” he said, urging the leaders and cadres to engross on local level election.

Also the former deputy prime minister, leader Singh viewed transport entrepreneurship had significant role to prop up nation’s economy, so the State needs to respect them.

He further said he was serious to address the problems faced by the democratic transport entrepreneurs close to the party.

On the occasion, Kathmandu district president of Nepali Congress, Sabuj Baniya, informed that electoral alliance would be formed by keeping in centre the aspiration of the party well wishers and sister organizations.

Time has come for the development, he stressed. General convention representative Sushil Bhatta stressed the need for fielding party candidates based on public base.

The leaders focused on policy rather than coterie member should be picked for election candidates, he added.
