KATHMANDU: The local level election mobilization committee of the ruling Nepali Congress (NC) has instructed the party’s subordinates to take forward the process of electoral coordination in line with the center’s decision.

NC Central member Nain Singh Mahar said the meeting discussed ways to streamline the electoral alliance in the meeting held at the NC headquarters in Sanepa on Friday.

“Coordinator of the mobilization committee Purna Bahadur Khadka shared that the party could not go against the spirit of electoral alliance in the May 13 local election,” Mahar added.

The meeting also decided to form various sub-committees to be mobilized in the election.

Similarly, it has been decided to send representatives to the provinces and districts, and instruct lower levels to dispatch representatives from the districts to the municipal level.

Mahar added discussions also centered on organizing election campaigns in line with poll code of conduct.

Likewise, the NC is to actively mobilize overseas liaison committees, sister organizations and well-wishers in the local election.
