Festivals should be medium of national unity: CM Rai



BIRATNAGAR: Chief Minister of Province 1, Rajendra Kumar Rai, has said that all festivals should be the medium of national unity and these should help develop spirits of unity among all.

He said while extending wishes on the on the occasion of Siruwa festival, the festival celebrated by Indigenous community in Tarai.

Chief Minister Rai wished happiness, peace, long-life, prosperity and progress to all Nepalis living in the country and abroad on this occasion.

“Nepal is a multi-ethnic, multi-lingual, multi-religious and multi-cultural country since centuries. These diversities have become the identity and asset of Nepal and Nepalis. So it is the common responsibility of the state and all the Nepalis to protect and promote all languages, religions, cultures and festivals”, reads the message.
