Police seize 120 kg marijuana in Biratnagar



MORANG: Police have seized a huge amount of marijuana from the Nepal-India border point in Biratnagar Metropolitan City-18.

Acting on a tip-off, a police squad deployed from Area Police Office, Buddhanagar, seized 120 kilograms of marijuana while being ferried to India on Wednesday night, said DSP Dipak Shrestha of District Police Office, Morang.

According to Shrestha,  120 kilograms of marijuana and 554 kilograms of ginger were found in the vehicle, Ko 1 Cha 5318, during a security check at 10 pm yesterday.

Police said the driver is at large. They are searching for the driver and investigating the case, he added.
