KATHMANDU: The Ninth National Sports Competition is set to be held in Gandaki Pradesh from June 5.
A cabinet meeting has decided to hold the Ninth National Sports Competition from June 5 to June 11, said member secretary of the National Sports Council Tanka Lal Ghising.
The cabinet meeting set the date for the national sports competition on the recommendation of the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
Earlier, the Eight National Sports Competition had been held in Lumbini Pradesh in 2075 BS.
To be held every two years, the Ninth National Sports Competition was supposed to be held in 2077 BS.
It had been postponed due to COVID-19 pandemic.
