NC holding CWEC meeting today

To give final touch election manifesto



KATHMANDU: The ruling Nepali Congress (NC) is holding a Central Work Execution Committee (CWEC) meeting on the manifesto of the local level elections today.

The meeting to be held at the central party headquarters in Sanepa will dwell on the issues to be incorporated in the manifesto, informed central party office chief secretary Krishna Prasad Paudel.

The Manifesto Preparation Committee for the Local Level Elections-2022 led by NC General Secretary Gagan Thapa is working on the election manifest in consultation with experts from various fields, currently.

The NC had also sought suggestions from various party committees, representatives elected in 2074 BS, and the people in general in the course of preparing the manifesto.

The NC is making preparations to make public the election manifesto on April 24.

Similarly, the meeting will also form a central parliamentary board, an NC leader has said.

The NC is under pressure to form the central parliamentary board as the deadline for filing candidacies has been set for April 24-25.

The central parliamentary board will finalize the name list of mayors and deputy mayors of the Metropolitan Cities.

The local level election is set to be held on May 13.
