Four arrested with timber



SURKHET: District Police Office, Surkhet has recovered sal wood from Bangesimal, Surkhet, Birendranagar Municipality.

Police team seized the timber from Salkot Bazaar of Salkot Health Post in Panchpuri Municipality of West Surkhet while it was being taken to Salli Bazaar of Salyan.

Ram Prasad Gharti, information officer at the District Police Office, Surkhet and Deputy Superintendent of Police said that four persons were also arrested.

The arrested are Toran BK, Prem BK, Ramji Gupta and Kulbir BK of Bheriganga Municipality-9, Surkhet.

According to him, Gupta was illegally transporting timber from Salkot to Salli Bazaar of Salyan in a mini-truck (Bhe 1 Kha 1242) for personal use.
