Man held in possession of 93 kg marijuana



KATHMANDU: Police have arrested a man with 93 kilograms of marijuana in the Mahottari district.

Acting on a tip-off, a police squad deployed from  Armed Police Force, Chhinnamasta Brigade rounded up a 36-year-old  Ramesh Tamang.

According to Brigade Commander Ganesh Thada Magar of Chhinnamasta Brigade, Tamang was arrested with the contraband while being ferried in a truck at Manarasiswa municipality, Sunaul village.

Thada Magar said they are preparing to hand over the arrested Tamang and the truck, Na 3 7935,  to the District Police Office, Mahottari for further investigation.
