UML making public its views on the country’s economic condition



KATHMANDU: The main opposition party, the CPN-UML, has decided to make public its views on the country’s economic situation by involving three former finance ministers.

According to Bishnu Rijal, Deputy Chief of the Central Publicity Department, a press conference will be held at Hotel Himalaya Kupandol at 12:30 pm today.

He said the party’s views on the country’s economic situation would be made public.

Former finance ministers Bishnu Poudel, Surendra Pandey and Dr Yuvaraj Khatiwada, who are also UML leaders, will attend the press conference.

On Saturday, UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli said that the country’s economy was deteriorating.

The UML will be giving its opinion on current issues including the suspension of the Governor of Nepal Rastra Bank, Maha Prasad Adhikari.

Thursday’s cabinet meeting decided to suspend Governor Adhikari.
