Drill organized to control forest fire



KAPILVASTU: A drill was held with the involvement of the locals to control the forest fire in the Ajammari Community Forest in Shivaraj Municipality-9 of Kapilvastu.

Along with the drill, fire control tools and other necessary materials to control the fire have been handed over to the locals.

The support was received with the help of Third Pole Conservation, Rare Species Fund and Dhwanse Leopard Conservation Group.

Handing over the materials, Chief of Division Forest Office, Dadhilal Kandel, said that the locals should be vigilant to prevent forest fire.

Locals are urged to remain vigilant as there is a high risk of forest fire during the summer season.

“We have provided information on how the fire can start and how it can be controlled,” he said.
