Oli challenges leader Nepal to prove himself by winning just three seats in federal election

KATHMANDU: CPN-UML Chairperson KP Sharma Oli has challenged CPN-Unified Socialist (CPN-US) Chairman Madhav Kumar Nepal to win just three seats in the upcoming federal election to prove himself.

He accused Maoist Center Chair Prachanda and Madhav Kumar Nepal of abusing the seats he had given them during the party unification and later attacking him.

Addressing the 4th National General Convention of the National Health Workers’ Association in Kathmandu on Friday, Oli alleged that leader Nepal was not capable to 23 seats on his own.

Stating that leader Nepal misused his seats, Oli said, “Is Madhav Nepal capable of winning 22-23 seats? He needs to prove it by winning only 3 seats.”

The UML chairperson projected unlikely result in the May 13 local election.
