KATHMANDU: The security office has started ‘passenger-friendly police response’ program at the Tribhuvan International Airport in the capital.
As part of the program, first police officials serving here would be provided with knowledge and skills on passenger-friendly response through training.
As many as 265 police personnel on duty at the airport would attend the training.
The training will be imparted to the police personnel on Tuesday where they would be trained on how to respond to the service seekers coming to the airport in a polite, civilized and decent manner.
Office In-charge and Senior Superintendant of Police (SSP) Bhim Prasad Dhakal shared the training was organized to provide required assistance to the air passengers in trouble and facilitate them to reach to their destinations with security assurances.
This would help elevate the image of Nepal Police at international level, he said. The program is also expected to beneficial to change behavior at airport when security personnel’s indecent treatment to the passengers at the airport has drawn flaks from different quarters. –
